Before You Start Your Field Familiarization
This guide is to be used to assist training fire service personnel who are leading an on site field familiarization of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and those participating in it. Prior to performing a DER field familiarization, it is strongly recommended you complete/review the relevant NFPA EV/ESS/PV Training (available at Electric Vehicle Safety Education Through NFPA Online Training or for free download at link below)
Before scheduling the familiarization visit, contact the facility owner to coordinate scheduling and request they provide a person knowledgeable of the site particulars to accompany you.
